The corals are growing quickly and they do this by extracting calcium from the aquarium water, gradually depleting it over time.
There is a calcium reactor in the filtration system that dissolves lime stone to replaced calcium used by the corals. Unfortunately the reactor is not quick enough. Calcium continues to decline and the water pH drops and now is in danger of being continually below 8pH.
A quick method to raise calcium and increase buffer capacity is the Balling light method. Can replace or supplement the calcium reactor.
Just add another litre of Balling salt solution. May need to keep a closer eye on salt water parameters.
More reqular salt water changes may be necessary.
